My name is Greta Anderson. I am an Oakland,CA. resident and have worked as a medical assistant and practitioner of massage therapy on and off for 10 years. I write in support of leniency for Mickey Martin, formerly affiliated with Compassion Medicinal Edibles (Tainted). I was not acquainted with him before he had DEA troubles, but as a healthcare professional who has heard his story, I am disturbed by the current legal/federal situation regarding medication that is clearly proven to help the sick and dying with the pain, anxiety and depression that accompanies near death and illness. I would like to communicate in this letter to the Court that while the federal law deems Mr. Martin a criminal, his actions are more consistent with being a part of a community dedicated to the healing and therapeutic nature of medical cannabis. Based on what I have read and heard, Mr. Martin seems to me to be consistent in character - trustworthy, honest, community oriented, law-abiding, intelligent and sincere in setting forth his beliefs and virtues.
