House Arrested

Yesterday I began my year or longer period of House Arrest. it is crazy to think I will have this beeper on my leg for over a year, but it is not prison and for that I am grateful. I can go 150 feet from a box in my house that transmits with the monitor on my leg. it is limiting es, but not the end of the world. I will be diligent in my quest to make this experience successful and just get it over with. I am happy that I am not packing my house, moving my family, and checking into the big house. Although I still believe that this is an unjust punishment for what I do not believe to be a crime, it definitely could be worse. I already spent the day on the phone with Congressman John Conyers office trying to find out more about the inquiry into the DEA's practices, and finding out how to get my sentence commuted by the President. At least I can do something productive with my time. Annoying as it may be I am still a lucky man.
