Come Join us for the Holidays!

by Mickey Martin — last modified Oct 09, 2008 04:10 AM

Meet us at the federal building before the trial and join us afterward at the bulldog for a baked sale!

What: Holiday themed protest and court support for the Tainted / Compassion defendants.  Let us show the DEA that despite their unnecessary and brutal assault on medical cannabis, our community will still be having a happy holiday.  Lively and festive atmosphere and special guests to speak.

When: DECEMBER 14 Protest begins at 9am and Court begins at 10am.

Where: Oakland Federal Building...1301 Clay St., Oakland, CA 94612

What: A chance to stock up on holiday cookies and treats while helping a good cause.  The good folks at the Bulldog will be opening their doors for a delicious baked sale including cakes cookies, chocolates, and more.  Free cofee and fountain drinks, and a friendly atmosphere to gather and talk about baked goods and whatnot.  Take a tour of historic Oaksterdam.  Come spend some time in Oakland and help us reflect on how far the movement has come, as well as where we still need to go.

When: DECEMBER 14 (After court) 11am-2pm

Where: BULLDOG COFFEE SHOP  1739 Broadway (between 17th & 19th St) Oakland, CA 94612

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT BUT WOULD LIKE TO DONATE A BAKED GOOD TO THE CAUSE, PLEASE CONTACT 888-TAINT-ME FOR INFO ON HOW TO HELP. (NO MEDICATED PRODUCTS UNFORTUNATELY)

Unacceptable!!!

by Mickey Martin — last modified Oct 09, 2008 04:10 AM

During the raids this innocent and loving dog was shot twice.

We will also be raising funds to help cover the costs of saving its life.  Poor "Doobie" is tough and is already regaining some movement after losing that ability to the hands of DEA agents that should have contacted the proper authorities before ever conducting these senseless acts of unnecessary violence.

Unacceptable!

Help the Legal Defense Fund

When the going gets wierd, the wierd turn pro.

We voted, go home!
Federal Building

The United States v. Michael Martin... It sounds so eerie and overwhelming when I think about it -- almost ominous. I think to myself All of The United States Versus ME?” that doesn't seem right - eighty percent of the population favors medical marijuana. Many of the states that are supposedly “VERSUS”  me have medical cannabis legislation on the books.

This effort does not seem very “UNITED” at all!  Just another example of overzealous bureacrats refusing to acknowledge the will of the people and protecting big business lobbyists in D.C.  Don't we have a war going on that same premise? When will we stand up and demand our government listen to us? Are we all so whacked out on pills, booze, and coffee that we cannot understand that we are being fleeced right under our noses? I look at all the things we “DON’T” have money for: school books, national healthcare, poverty, New Orleans, etc... and I get sick to my stomach thinking the government is wasting millions digging through my garbage to make a case not just against my co-defendants and I, but against medical cannabis! How could such an innocent plant and benign substance get so terribly misconstrued for something evil? Plants are not evil and never will be. This witch hunt and posturing is unnecessary. We voted, go home! This has been the weirdest month of my life to say the least, and in the words of Hunter S. Thompson, "IF THE GOING IS GOING TO GET THIS WEIRD THEN I AM GOING TO TURN PRO FOR SURE..."

Help with the Legal Defense Fund for Saving Tainted from wrongful persecution, any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
